Jun Castro re-elected GP New York Beta Sigma

Long Island, New York – Segundo ‘Jun’ Castro Jr. incumbent GP and running un-opposed was unanimously voted by active members of New York Beta Sigma to a fresh two year term. 

Jun Castro thanked the members for supporting his bid for another term and with everyone working together, promised to pursue activities that make New York Beta Sigma more family oriented and to continue with projects that reach out to other members of the fraternity, Sigma Beta sorority and the community at large.

Among the notable projects during his first term, Jun Castro is credited for organizing the 1st New York Beta Sigma Fraternity Ball and Reunion in the summer of 2010, which was highly regarded as successful.

Ted Quijano, a senior adviser of New York Beta Sigma who was at the proceedings, described the first term as very productive - with all the accomplishments and that the future looks even brighter.

As of this writing, officers of Team New York 2009 – 2011 are on an acting capacity until a new team has been put in place and the transition formally completed.

Joel Torrevillas an active member of New York Beta Sigma, hosting the meeting and election, thanked Jun Castro for his dedication plus hard work and expressed admiration for keeping this group together, understanding the different personalities of every member and making it work.

With members around, Jun Castro in true GP fashion thanked Joel and reiterated, that he could not have done it alone, that it was with the help of everyone who got involved that made the first term successful.
