meeting in the mountains

lakeview, pennsylvania-bejasa casa de la familia en las montaƱas de pocono. new york beta sigma family in the picturesque mountain region of northeastern pennsylvania for a weekend getaway. being the mild summer that it is, the first out of town get together for this bunch of "..few, happy few, band of brothers" finally pushed through, thanks to our host nonoy bejasa, who opened the doors to their weekend home.

kids enjoyed the most, they ate - whenever the food was ready or just about anytime they were hungry, they played - constantly running around only to pause for pictures and not once but twice enjoyed swimming in the neighborhood  pool.  at night when finally asleep, unmindful of the snores of some and cries of an infant girl. kids you just have to love them.

the mamas and the papas, enjoying their fair share of weekend bliss in this beautiful place, the get together was one of its kind, with the unique new york flavor of bonding (kantyawan, kulitan at mga bulungan) wink and a smile.

the meeting part proved to be productive, with the creation of the 2010 fraternity ball committee, tasked to lead in the preparation and implementation of activities for the 1st new york fraternity ball and reunion on the 4th of july 2010 - independence day weekend.

It was a weekend of fun in the outdoors.  a welcome deviation from the daily grind of city life.
